x2.3b lite, very easy to install and works great.  System-mods.com has em for 30 bucks now.

If you can boot off disc again, burn a copy of slayers, and tell it to rebuild a large hd, that will format everything and put the ms dash and evox on there.

can i use slayers to put in a biger hard drive?

Of course you can.

Go to xbins and get the newest x2 bios 4983.  Reflash it with that.

It comes as a 256k, you just use the built in batch file to make it a 1mb.

For your question about booting the ms dash from evox, they messed up in that bios, when you flash the new one, don't worry, it should all work after that. I had the same problem.

06 if you want one big f:, 67 if you want a 137gig f: and the rest go to g:.  Most likely you want the 06.  Run the resize.bat file included in the release and select the option for make 4983.06 into 1mb.

Dont worry about it just flash it.  By default its i think avalaunch.xbe first, then evoxdash.xbe, then nexgen.xbe.  Something like that.

Take out the old one, put in the new one.  Boot off slayers, select install new large hd.  It will format and thro evox, ms dash, and other apps directly onto it.

It just was being stubborn yesterday, and i got the xbox to boot off the slayers cd.

The hard drive i put in says it's not lockable is that much of a problem. will i run into problems if it's not locked?
