The readme tells you exactly what you are suppose to do. This is what the release does. When this happens, go to your PC and start telnetting. :)

this is what the realese that i got saids:

QUOTE
MechInstaller Raincoast Edition FR compatible with 1.4 & 1.5 (Bios X2 4979.06 -256k)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ready for Chipset video Focus 1.4 & 1.5

This mechinstaller allows you to flash your Xbox Tsop with Mechassault.
Just copy this save on your memory card or Mega Xkey and copy from your
memory card on the Xbox HDD you want to flash (use MS dashboard for it)
Launch the game and load the save from your HDD.
A black screen will display and the eject led will turn to orange.
Don't touch anything until your Xbox turns off.
If nothing happens, check your solders points.

Enjoy :)

I believe that the IP you should telnet to is 192.168.0.64.  Also, your computer must also have an ip on the same subnet.  you must specify 192.168.0.#  where # is any number between 0 255 != 64.

I used slushies guide the first few times.  No problems at all.  Have you actually attempted to flash?  Also, make sure you have a 1 meg bios (if you're on a v 1.0 xbox).  If you've not attempted to flash yet.... Do the first raincoat commad on slushies tut.  This will back up your bios, and should provide you with an idea as to wheater or not it recognizes your chip.  If you have tried to flash and got an error, post the exact error.
