Problem With Raincoat And Hynix
« on: May 21, 2004, 11:40:00 AM »

I'm trying to do my first ever TSOP flash.

Its a 1.1 box and I've got the points soldered. I'm getting error 9 and a message about invalid flash type. I got the same error running raincoat (with no options) even before I soldered the points.

The chip is a Hynix HY29F080T. I have raincoat v7 and the config file only has a Hynix HY29F080 (no "T" on the end). Is the problem the config file? Is there a newer one with my chip in it? Or is it something else.

More info plz.  Which exploit are you using?  How are you using it? What bios are you using?  You're getting an error 9 on your television when you boot your box?

I have no problem with the exploit, I've telnetted in and run Raincoat but it doesn't appear to be recognizing the Hynix chip.
