Ok here is the run down, I got an x2 lite + chip
I installed the x2 bios on bank 1
I backed up my retail drive and put it away
I got a 250gb harddrive
I used slayers 2.5 final and formatted it useing opt 3-2
This put all the files on the F drive, and my x2 bios didn't boot to F so I wanted to get a new BIOS. I went into slayers and picked opt 7 to reflash the chip with some provided bios. I needed it to boot from F drive so under opt 7 I picked opt 7-8 and it reflashed the chip. But now my xbox wont boot up, it just powers on and off and then just blinks red and green and I get no video. I powerd off and go to bank 2 which I havn't touched and get the same thing. What gives what happend, what do I do know. If I disable the chip my box boots gives error 5. If I disable the chip and put the old reteail hhd in it works just fine.

must have flashed an incompatible bios (or corrupt bios) to your chip, youll need to use another modchip to hotswap and flash or get an external programmer


the error 5 is happening because the new HD isnt locked
