Tsop Flashing V1.2
« on: March 17, 2004, 08:31:00 AM »

Hey Guys,
I'm sure this has come up many times; however, I did a quick search and there are tons of contridicting information.

Here is what I want to do in order to flash a v1.2 with Xecuter 4981 256kb form:

1. Connect the top pair of "write-enable" points (the ones infront of the LPC bus)
2. Boot using my Xecuter-2 modchip to Evox
3. Transfer the bios file to C:\bios
4. Remove the modchip and disconnect the D0 wire
5. In Evox, go to the flash section and then choose the bios that I uploaded to the harddrive

Did I miss anything?

tnx

yes. the simple fact that removing the mod and d0 will not do shit. the xbox can't just flash the tsop after booting from lpc.. it will continue to look at the lpc port for a chip to flash.

I'd recomand using raincoat not evox. And, you got to exploit the xbox.. you cant just disconnect the chip... it will boot to MS dash. So either do a font exploit, a sound exploit, or a gamesave exploit.

Arakon,
I guess I did miss that little bit of information.

I found a tutorial about that very problem (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=177587&st=0), but it seems pretty involved.
