Sorry to ask this but the serch doesnt seem to working or im useing the incorrect words to serch for.

1) I have a 1.4 xbox with a ST bios

2) I have a Xbit LPC mod chip - Solderless

3) I have fucked up the bios (my own falut no one elese) - Kids turned off xbox while flashing.

4) I have backed up the bios on the xbox HD but not moved it to the PC. As the HDs locked and i cannot access it as i have no HD key.

How do i go about reflashing the TSOP on the xbox and useing the Xbit. I have tryed the 3 wire trick with no luck and i know it for 1 mb bios but i thought id try it anyway.

A quick responce before my lass finds out would be appcated.

You need to use a 29 wire Mod chip
Like the one in this link..

oh - so there is no other way than a 29 wire mood chip.

Is there now ay to disable the LPC once the mod chip has booted into the bios and then to flash or power up the TSOP. Cos if it can be done on a 1.1 or 1.2 why not on a 1.4.

well ive did a 29 mod chip a long time ago but im in no way going to attempt to install one now a days as my eyes aint up to it any more . shame no ones come up with a new way of override and poweing up the onbord TSOP so that we can flash the TSOP.

If i removed the xbit  while the xbox is powerd on would this not restore the power to the TSOP allowing me to flash it as in the same way of doing a Mother bords bios swap allowing me to fixed a mother bord bios.

Or is there way that a Bios Clip that fits over the onbord bios and then could remove after a boot and then flash the tsop.

This may all sound a little wire but cold be a possable answer to all these bad TSOP flashes done to 1.2 - 1.5 xboxs

Does your xbox work with the Xbit installed?

If it boots then just remove the xbit after it has booted and you will be able to flash your on board TSOP.

yes it can be removed - i was told via sevral ppl that it wasnt possable to do this as when the Mod chip has booted it disables the TSOP to boot ..

Any cut a long story short its worked.

Ive reflashed my 1.4 TSOP with my orgnal bios - Thank God !!!

My lass still caught me and ripped me a new hole lol.

Just removed the Xbit and flashed the TSop with out any problems. Nice valuable tool the xbit .

I don't know how it worked either..unless part the original bios was still there and with the help of the xbit or anyother LPC based chip ..the xbox was still able to boot..

If it was totaly erased it wouldn't boot.

Im not of full understanding why it worked but while i was reflashing the TSOP the kids Turned off the xbox mid to end of the flash.

This resulted in the Xbox give the old green/off /green /off green_red falshing.

So i got my self a xbit and flashed the xbit wih a bios and then placed it over the lpc and screwed it in. Afetr a few seconds of messing the xbit was up and running.

Turned off the xbox and turned it back on useing the xbit to boot.

Run the slayers install disk 2.5 (ease of use i love it) ?

Took off the xbit and then flashed the TSOP useing slayers install 2.5

Xbox auto turned off.

Turned on the xbox and the tsop worked.

Then reflashed with my backup orginal TSOP.

1.4 xbox with a st bios

dunno why it worked but it did - allso i cannot answer any question like it must have half flashed cos i honistly do not know ?

Just happy it works.
