I'm in the same boat and that guide appears to be out of date, the 007 with raincoat save (on xbins) turns the light orange, then turns the xbox off, how are you supposed to telnet in??

Also, in the readme for 007 with raincoat it says that if it's unsuccessful then the xbox will eject and then power off, mine just powers off (meaning success) but the bios is still the original M$ one.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to look in the flash.log file and see what actually happened.  I use the MechAssault exploit to get an FTP server running and grab it that way to see what happened.

That's the wrong save, then.  The correct 007savewithraincoat.zip turns the light orange, then plays a few sounds.  Once the last sound (an explosion) is heard, the machine is ready for you to telnet in.

Shutting down of its own accord sounds like the Eurasia flasher to me.

username is root
password is xbox

Then you need to change to the directory that raincoat is in and run the program.  The instructions are in the tutorial and a readme.txt file in the download.

Good Luck!
