i need some help from u guys. i have a XBOX 1.1 (with that horrible little fan
) and some guy flashed it for me the summer before last. i got the aniciet evox v.2.2 and i want to change it to something a little more modern. i belive i got a hynix bios but i don't know how big it is but i belive that it is a 1024k chip but i don't know. i should be able to flash it using evox an using a proper bios. can u recomend any bios for me since i been away from the "scene" for quite som time.....
all help is appreciated

Yeah your bios is a 1024k bios, therefore you need a bios that size unless you have a switch on your box. Any bios will work, but if you want something up to date I recommend using Evox M7 or X2 4981.
Are you flashing through evox? or with a boot disc?

Probably a question for the bios forums but... X2 4981 or Evox m7 should do you fine. I would grab a copy of the latest evolutionX too while your at 'the usual places'

Yes your bios is 1024 (1mb) but if you update your evolutionX you are sure to have a version that will resize the bios to fit, what ever size it is.

yes, you can load from a cd, or even install a second instance of evox in your apps folder and load it that way
but, the new version of evox is great and i highly reccomend updating
