Quick Question About Bios

Hello!

I wanted to ask, are the newest XBOX BIOS (the ones that come with 1.1, 1.2 and up) compatible with older hardware? To put it simpler: Can I flash the most recent BIOS to a 1.0 XBOX? I know the oposite would probably not work... The reason I ask this is just because I like to experiment, but I want to be sure I won't screw anything  :P

are you talking about retail bios? if so, then no, retail bios only work on the versiosn they were intended for


new hacked bios (evox, x2) however work on all versions

ok!

Another question: If it don't work, is is because of the 256kb/1MB issue, or is it something completely different? From what I gathered here I could flash these on a 1.0 : 3944,4034,4132 and 4627 because they are the good size... But even If I make the newer one bigger (bios x 4) it won't work, if I understand correctly?
