Evox And Tsop Flashes
« on: March 02, 2004, 11:31:00 AM »

OK, quick question. I'm having a little argument/debate with a buddy of mine here and hope you guys can clear it up for me specifically.

What EvoX build automatically converts your 256k bios to either 256k or 1meg depending on xbox version/tsop size?
Does the current 007auf with evox package on xbins support this auto resize feature?
Which TSOP makes on what xbox version cannot be flashed by EvoX?
What technically happens when you try to flash a windond chip on a v1.5 xbox with EvoX? Can fragging occur?

Sorry for the wasted bandwidth...

1) all of them.
2) yes
3) only the 1.4/1.5 winbond
4) evox tries to erase the chip and it cannot so it hangs. even if the points are enabled still wont damage the box.
5) np. there have been much worse questions dont worry.

Thanks for the answer guys... Hmmmm. I tought that only "newer" versions of EvoX supported the bios resize support. Basically he has a 2.1 slayers evox install disk and was worried about the bios file size.
