Not Finding Raincoat.conf

update to raincoat .7, just replace the files raincoat and raincoat.conf in the gamesave folder

0.7 has an internal list of about 100 flash types, so it never really needs to look at the .conf file, I suppose that is there for future updating.  However from 0.5 upwards the conf file needs to be in the same directory as the raincoat file.

You're not copying it into the right location.  The key word in Lordvader29's post was REPLACE.

Look in \4541000d\000000000000\raincoat\, you should find raincoat and raincoat.conf in here.  Replace them.

BTW, raincoat 0.7 supports 151 flash types internally, with a maximum of 253 entries in raincoat.conf.  0.5 maxed out at 31!

this will not work
when i downloaded mecheurasia, you cannot simply download 0.7 and replace the files it will NOT WORK

yeah, eurasia mounts some virtual drive and loads raincoat formt ehre...but im sure theres a way to update raincoat in it via FTP

yes, this was a PATH problem.  by typing just raincoat,  it was pulling it from /bin or something which was still an old  version.  adding the ./   means "run this command from this directory"    so if you are currently in the dir.  with the 0.7 raincoat and run ./raincoat it will run that one instead of /bin/raincoat (0.5)
