sorry about my sort of rudeness but I am just confused as to how to get linux running when I hear about running raincoat.xbe, when I load a gamesave from mechassault it goes to evox so I know the defualt.xbe in the save game file is evox, and there is no other raincoat.xbe to speak of.

THANK YOU!!!
I wondered if that was the one,...But I kept getting confused that it was just supposed to work without it or something.
I will go and get 007withraincoat tonight and make a mechassualt version of it.
since blockbuster no longer rents out 007auf anymore. I need to get a copy of the classic from somewhere.
I really appreciate your help though lordvader.

i have tried the small one by using the default.xbe that was includede and that booted linux. am i supposed to ftp any files except default.xbe? can someone tell me what files are supposed to be transfered to the HD and where they are supposed to be?

is the .xbe supposed to be in f: and the rest of the files that are in this hirachy UDATA\4541000d\000000000000 supposed to be in e:? am i supposed to replace the bios.bin file with the bios of my choice or is it already a M7 in this release?

Put everything in E:\UDATA\4541000d\000000000000, including the default.xbe.
Then run the default.xbe by making a link to it in evox or whatever your dashboard is. Oh and yes you can replace bios.bin with a bios of your choice...

How am i supposed to link it from evoX? Like this in the .ini-file?:

[Menu]

Section "Root"
{
Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
Item "Raincoat","E:\UDATA\4541000d\000000000000\Raincoat.xbe"
Item "Backup",ID_Backup
Item "Settings",ID_Settings
Item "Reboot",ID_Quick_Reboot
Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off
}

Can't i just launch Linux from f:\applications and have those files on  E:/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000/ also?
I'm abel to run linux from f: and telnet to 192.168.0.64? Am i suppused to write cd ../../media/E/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000/raincoat even if the files are in  E:/UDATA/4541000d/000000000000?

oh and does someone knows what bios is included in this release?

could someone with a heart of gold help meee....

Ok I tried to flash the bios using raincoat and it said that my bios prehaps was copyprotected. the thing is that I can see the bios using EvoX with my switch turned on and I can't see it turned off so whats the deal?
