How Should I Proceed?
« on: February 20, 2004, 01:04:00 PM »

I have a v1.5 xbox with K:5530 D:5659 and winbound TSOP. :(

managed to downgrade Dashboard to 4920 and applied Big Font exploit using hotswop and HDD Driver to load Evox dash when boot. I know Evox cannot flash winbound chip and I need to use raincoat. Question is, how to use raincoat to flash my TSOP in Evox dash? What kind of setup do I need. Any links/tutorials? Please HELP!

You can not flash the winbond chips with evo-x

(A fast search of this forum would have given you that info)

You need to flash with raincoat. (either via telnet or with eurasio flashdisc)

1: get the 007savewithraincoat

2: update it to raincoat .7

3: sign the default.xbe with xbedump using the switch -font

4: ftp the gamesave folder to E:\Udata

5: put a link in evox.ini to the default.xbe

6: launch the linux/raincoat default.xbe

7: use the newbie guide to 007:auf flashing to flash with raincoat

Thanks for your respond.

I followed your steps but I am stuck at 6. When I launch the linux/raincoat from Evox menu, I can see xbox-linux loading in a orange screen but as the progress bar reaches about 70%, a few error starts appearing on the top of the screen. Errors were mainly stating no such device, invalid argument etc (5 of them).

Did I miss anything?
