give us a little more info on your problem.  does it say "flash not writeable" or "device not recognized" or what?  have you tried using raincoat?

I'm not sure upon the bios chip I've been trying to figure out with chip is the bios.  I've tried to do the 007 hack, I've used the 007 hack to boot up evox and tried flashing the bios from the menu.

Sounds like you have a winbond chip, EvoX can't flash Winbond chips.

Try raincoat (v0.501 only), and you should be set to go.  As said in a previous post, EvoX can not flash the Winbond chips.

Make sure you haven't shorted or removed the resistor alongside the jumper near the TSOP.  If that's gone, you can't flash.

Follow the 0x09, 0x00 link in the sig. below for more info.

im having a prob with a 1.5 xbox as well.  its a friends that im doin for him.  ive modded 5 so far both mod chip and tsop flashing however this is my first 1.5 xbox.  i soldered all the points, got the 007 with raincoat and ran it.  what size bios should i have used?  its a winbond chip.  i just used an old ozxbios that i had used before and had good luck with.  its a 256k.  is that where i went wrong?  in the command screen it showed the flashing process and everythign looked fine, but, when i rebooted the thing fragged.  since then ive tried the 3 wire method and that got me no where.  i dont know where else to turn short of buying a mod chip.  some help would be greatly appreciated.

It's modchip time!  You can fix the TSOP with a 29 wire mod, but you may as well mod it now.
