in the red rectangles labled "Jumper from MCPX" you can see two shiny spots in each.  solder the spots in each together.  no wire is required. just a blob of solder in each rectangle.

omg, you are pretty thick. There is a red rectangle surrounding 2 points that must be soldered together. Disregard the other points, look where it says Jumper...

hello everyboady

sence I ruined my old modchip I desided I would give Tosop flaching a try

I onley sortof understand so I fidured I better ask some questions before I ruin my Tsop chip

you onley have to start reading below
I want to be able to boot backup copys and load from my hard drive and that sort of stuff

I have a v1.0
I got the MechEurasia I geuss I am supose to load the folder marked 4d530017 into my xbox cause its around 1mb

so is that All I need to load into it?
or do I need some Bios and/or outher stuff?
if so where do I put the bios and/or outher stuff?

if there a better methade than this one? if there is could you point me in the direction of it

4d530017 is the MA dir.  you can load exox from MA and flash your 1.0
you will not be able to flash with eurasia beacuse it resides in the 007 dir, but that is OK, you don't need to (v1.0)

I have version 1.0....I followed slushie's tut for soldering and I have connected the points on the top of the board and then connected the points on the bottom of the board with a smal piece of wire. Does it matter how the bottom side is done? I have soldered WE# and WR# and not the two jumper points next to eachother on the bottom of the mobo. Will this work with MechEurasia? Does it make a difference if you solder the jumpers on the bottom or connect the WE# and WR# on the bottom with a wire?

No!

You have to flash the TSOP to remove your chip. And you would just leave the HD the way it is with your chip installed.

no mate, its a bit of a myth

all xboxs, no matter what version have 2 sets (think one has 3, very rare sharp tsop)

on v1.0 and 1.1 1 sets on top, and one on the bottom, on v1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5 they are both on the top
