I have read in several other topics that this line (when added to raincoat.conf) is the correct line for raincoat to be able to recognize this chip. I have also read that 0x090 is the error code for raincoat and this is line is *BOGUS*.

Could someone who has flashed this chip (found in my v1.3 at least) please respond with the real deal.

Yes it IS bogus. The 0x09 0x00 or if you wish Flash = 0x0900 is returned from the chip when the Write enable points are NOT made properly. remove it to stop confusion if it is there.

yeah, its bogus. just flashed the same box as yours with just the 2 solder points on top of mobo and raincoat 501 WITHOUT that line. worked like charm so if you get the UNKNOWN DEVICE error, then your soldering job is to blame, not the raincoat.

Raincoat will think it's a zero-sized chip, therefore any file you try to program it with is too big and it'll refuse.
