use the4 audio exploit
alot better
get the audio exploit... then get evox.. sign evox with xbedump for the audio exploitt.. put it on your hard drive with hdd driver and teh hotswap trick.. in hdd driver the FIRST thing you should do is backup your hard drive. although it isnt needed as much as with teh audio exploit... if u fuck up with the audio exploit ur dash still boots fine
the ST.DB goes in:
User Save/TDATA/fffe0000/music/
now first to even be able to insert ST.DB into that directory u need to rip atleast one audio track to your xbox hard drive. there needs to be a file in that dir... if u already have ripped audio tracks your all good...
if there is an ST.DB in there already then delete ti... then insert the hacked st.db
now.. go back to root in User Save
upload the signed out.xbe but rename it before you upload to 'linux.xbe'
also insert evox.ini into that directory.. modify the file before you upload so u can ftp to it..
discconect your hdd from teh pc and put it abck on the xbox.. reboot xbox...
follow the readme file provided with teh audio file abnd press th buttons it asks for when u insert an audio cd... dont fuck up the buttons or u gotta start all over
hopefully evox loads.. if it doesnt u gotta try a different audio exploit (i used the original one and it gave me error 21.. tried the hacked one that doesnt require a cd to be in and it worked fine)
if evox loads.. u need to grab raincoat from the 007 save.. and hopefully update it to 0.501 raincoat by updating the raincoat.conf file and some other file.. u can read up on that.. im `just giving you the idea of how all this is done...
sign that raincoat with xbedump for the audio exploit.... reboot xbox and get in evox again..
should see linux in your apps dir uidner launch menu...
launch it follow the process how u flash your tsop with raincoat

make sure u flash with the right bios as raincoat can fuck your shit if u flash 256 on a 1meg tsop
if flashed all well boot evox again, ftp over a brand new evox not tamped with xbedump and put it in your C drive

should be good to go
as i say though im giving you a general idea... readup on ANYTHING you dont understand
