Hey, alright, i have the X2.3b modchip on the way. I downloaded the 4979.06 bios. This the bios im going to use to flash the modchip. Afterwards im gonna use slayers install disk and rebuild the factory HD. Now, is the image below correct? (size, partitions, etc...)? Thanks for your help.

ya, when i first opened the bios it was 256k so i changed it to 512k, also i changed the evoxdash.xbe to be the first .xbe it looks for. Is that what slayers calls the evox file?

Oh, okay. I just use X2 BIOS Manager to resize BIOSes, so I wasn't looking there. Anyway, isn't evoxdash.xbe first to load by default??

i dont remember it being that way...oh well...im just making sure everything looks good so i don't screw up another bios...( i did a bad flash on my TSOP).

thanks to all you have helped me. I got my box up and running after ordering an X2.3b. I am so relieved that it wasn't dead for good. I know my mistake, and am going to make sure i don't do it again. :lol: Anyways, thanks to all those who have helped! I dunno what i'd do without xbox-scene.....
