What BIOS did you use? I did this last week and by accident used a 256k BIOS instead of the 1Meg one. And thats exactly what happened to me, with the flashing.

From what it looks like from the post he's saying he hasen't even gotten to the flashing part yet

As far as problem goes, I'm gonna have to agree with vader on this one.  be extra careful and check your soldering.  If you have a magnifing(sp?) glass then use it.  Even the smallest spash can frag a box.  Also look for traces that are lifted/burnt.

Fixing broken traces is delicate work. You can either bridge the traces with some kind of wire or solder itself or just rebuild the trace by soldering some wire from the termination points that the traces connects.

As far as solder splashes are concerned...use some desoldering wick.  If you use a solder sucker on spashes that might be covering traces, you risk damage to the trace itself.  The wick is the safer route.

wow, didnt even notice that, thanks for pointing it out for me. The first time I did a mod, that happened to me too. It was a bad solder job. Clean it off and re-do it. It wouldnt boot at all, and I was like, just this cant kill it, I mustve messed up, Make sure it is touching NO OTHER CONNECTIONS. Just the two points you need, nothing else. If so, it will work fine.
