hi how do you flash the origanel bios on the tsop coz when boght my xbox it was allready done but know i want to use xbox live so who would i put the orignal bios on the xbox the dash folder say xboxdashdata.1012a700 so what would the bios be? and how would i do it

P.s i have a matrix chip and i can't solder for shit unless i life depends on it

the TSOP writen aneable points should still be soldered, youll have to find otu what version your xbox is to get the correct bios (the dashboard doesnt mean anything)

on the mobo tehre shoudl be a stiker saying "Kernel XXXX" where XXXX is a 4 digit number of the bios you need, check the "usual places" to find it

cool but i sprayed my xbox and i can't see the stikers but i know my box is a 1.1 and the points are all ready solderd but i just don't understand the tut and what bios i am going to need i all ready downloaded all of them

go to xbins (irc, efnet, #xbins) then downlaod the 1.1 retail bios

what you need to do is split the tsop.
make it so that you have original bios & hacked.

if you want i can do this for ya =]
drop it by or ship it [dallas area]

This problem isnt exactly like rj's but its sorta similar. Ive looked through the TSOP forum but havent been abel to find the answer to my question. I dunno how to explain it really so ill just make an example

. Assuming I bought an TSOP pre-modded XBOX with the enable/disable switch so I can use xbox live, and it comes with EVOX M7, and its got evox dash and everything installed on it, how would I go about changing to BIOS to say x4979 and still keeping the split?

just load up evox, and flash with a 512k 4979, it wont touch the other side of the TSOP, just make sure you dont flip your switch after booting, lol

oh ok so i can just flash it normally with a 512k 4979? but isnt 4979 only 256k and doesnt evox automatically resize it to 1mb? or am i mistaken lol?

evox will resize it to fit the chip (with your switch it will only be able to see 512k, so resize it to 512k)

you can also use xbtool to make it 512k
