Xbox Won't Boot After Flashing Tsop D6
« on: November 14, 2003, 12:53:00 AM »

Hi all,

I just downloaded EvolutionX_Build_3921, and used it to flash the BIOS.  I tried the EvoX D.6.bin (256k) and it flashed fine.  Then for some reason I decided to try the tsop d6.bin not knowing what it does (I know it's a stupid thing to do...)  Now the xbox won't boot up.  Only the green light flashing.  Can anything be done to rescue it?

Thanks.

Being the newbie as I am, I am wondering what I have done.  I chose the tsop d6.bin when I flash BIOS within EvoX.  The flashing seemed okay, then the xbox shut down.  Now it won't boot up.  Only the green light is flashing and the CD tray won't open.  Would replacing the modchip help?

Thanks.

if you were booting from a modchip, then that is waht was flashed.  you can do a hotswap with someone else's modchip and reflash, or get an external flasher (for x2, matrix, chameleon etc.).

Thanks.  I was thinking of getting the pro version of the chip anyways, so do you think it's a good idea to just get a X2 Pro?
