yes, you can flash with that provided your TSOP is not a winbond chip

winbonds i think are only on 1.3s and higher, and they have a W with like half a globe on them

if you have any other chip (st, sst, hynix, sharp) evox will work fine

uriel just to let you know, I am making a tutorial on how to flash your TSOP using 007 evox installer. I also want to let you know that you should read up on the BIOS you plan to flash your TSOP with becuase you could frag it. I used evox M7 myself, and the flash went fine, I have a version 1.0 xbox though. You also have to open the xbox and cross the jumpers to unlock the TSOP so you can flash it.

The tutorial will be much clearer on this. Expect it soon.

Is the raincoat flash more reliable than Evox?

Also can evox make a backup of your bios before flashing?

I only use raincoat, it's worked on every xbox I've come accross although I do update it to the latest version before I chip the newer box's.

There's a wicked tut pinned, it worked first time for me and now it only takes 20 minutes (the first one took me well over at hour)

but in evox.ini stands:

Flash      = 0xda8c,"Winbond W49F020",0x40000
Flash      = 0x0900,"Winbond W49F020T",0x40000

doesn't this mean i can do it?
