Ok, I've done about a half dozen TSOP flashes successfully. I'm not sure if this topic really belongs here but this is my problem. I sucessfully did a TSOP flash on a version 1.0 xbox today with x2 bios 4976.02 1024kb bios. Everything went smoothly. It flashed correctly and got the typical x2 start up screen. I had trouble installing evox on the thompson drive. So I used my other xbox w/a samsung DVD rom to format the HD. I put the newly formatted hard drive in the version 1 xbox, it read it with no problem. HOwever, the dvd rom on the version 1.0 xbox intermitently opens and closes when I push the eject button. Sometimes, I hear it go into a loop of some sort. It doesnt know when close the tray. It kinda goes into a stutter and then finally closes. I'm pretty sure that it is not the bios or a bad flash, but then again, i could be wrong. I noticed that on this xbox, the eject button is fairly sensitive. It really doesnt have any play to it. I'm wonderinig if the eject button is stuck or something or if anyone has had this problem. Other than the dvd rom occasionally not knowing whether to open or close everything else works great. Can anyone shed some light on this subject? I've ordered another xbox and am going to replace the mobo and see if its not the actual eject button that is messed up. I did try installing my new samsung to this xbox and was getting the same problem. So, IM positive that it is not the DVD ROM. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
