okay, so I've successfully done the TSOP flash on my v1.0 box with a switch to split the TSOP in half (using vcc 3.3V). One half was retail, 3944, the other half was x2 4977. Everything was peachy, and I was pleased with my accomplishment. Put in a new 120GB hdd, locked it using Config Magic to test with the retail half, everything still great. So a week later I tried to put my xbox shell back on, get it all fittin together and screwed it down, cuz I figure I won't need to see the inside again any time soon...I try to boot up, and xbox hangs on the flubber blob...try starting again, and I get three reboots and then fraggin!
Okay, so a few questions for you pros out there.
1) What the fuck?!?
2) I checked all my solder points, all is secure. What do you suppose could have caused this?
3) What exactly is 'this', anyway? Is my TSOP fried? Or something else maybe fried? Could something touching one of the switch contacts cause something like this?
4) My new hdd was just locked and I hadn't saved it to my computer yet. Does the xbox lock all hdds with the same password? cuz I had another locked in there somewhere and I might be able to track down the key to get this one. If not, is my brand new 120GB hdd screwed as well as my box?
5) What the fuck?!?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated...thanks!
