Xbox Doesn't Boot Anymore, Bad Flash
« on: August 02, 2003, 12:53:00 PM »

EEPROMer is for locking/unlocking hard drives and flashing the Xbox EEPROM which is totally different from flashing the Xbox BIOS.  You will need to get a chip which supports a 512k BIOS and flash with a debug BIOS so you can recover the Xbox's EEPROM.

oh god...
well... so it's worse than I thought... simply changing the modchip won't work, right?
which modchip do you suggest, since I will install it to recover the eeprom and maintain it as my modchip, and which BIOSes should I look for, the debug one to recover the eeprom and the 'release' one to flash after it has been recovered, or can I maintain the debug BIOS?
Also, which program should I have used to flash the evox BIOS? I suppose that these latest modchips allows programming via the Evox menu right?
thanks for your help and patience...

u could try to rewrite the eeprom from ur backup with that: http://rex.xbox-scen...C/i2c-prog.html

but that's evil and lethal in wrong hands
