I don't know if anybody has had this and I haven't noticed anything on the forums.
I have a 1.1 manufacture date Nov 2002. ST chip. Fresh out of the box. First problem I had was no matter how hard I tried it would not load the bios off my matrix chip. I always use it first to FTP files over to the XBOX. I had the flashing light on the chip and the XBOX turned on just as if everything was o.k., but still would not load my bios. I have a blue colored bios on my mod chip. I reloaded the bios onto the chip again and then tried once more. Still no go. Everytime it just loaded up the default bios. So I thought mabey it's just this chip and this XBOX.
Now I Tried the 007 raincoat trick. I soldered the jumpers and checked for continuity. All good. I loaded up raincoat. All good. I tried to backup the original bios and it gives me a fail. TSOP read only? I'm not sure what this could be has anyone else had this problem. The XBOX still works by the way. Only with default bios.
