Have you telnetted to your xbox and run raincoat, and did you solder the TSOP write-enable points?

This may be a "duh" question, but you never know:

Did you burn the "cd" on a cd/rw?  Have you tested reading the disk from linux?  It may be as simple as your xbox can't read the disk, nothing to do with unsigned code.

In addition, do you have a mod chip?  The bios is what keeps you from reading unsigned code, you need to have an updated bios (using mod chip, free-x, tsop, etc) and be running one of the MS compatible dashboards.  I don't think you can run Slayer from Linux, it would be like running a Windows program on a Mac (without some kind of Virtual PC software of course).

I guess it's not a duh question... Yeah it's burned on a standard cdr...
Does it have to be a DVD r/rw?

If I wish to run XBMP what bios should I flash w/ (using raincoat I presume)?
