gee ...that last pic is from the top of motherboard ... i thought the points were all on the bottom of motherboard .
I'm about to do this ... and want to make sure i do it right.
Another way to say this is :
I know bottom of motherboard was used before in discussing these points ...

Are the same points on the Top side of motherboard too ... and is that what you guys are using now?

P.S.  which a19 point is in your opinion the easiest to solder?
And safest?

I am a average guy  as to soldering skills with a 15 wat radio shack iron with flux.
Thanks

I am done this alot of time, splittting the TSOP.

Will this make it safe to go on Live ? Thats my only concern. I have a V1 Xbox.

As long as you are splitting the TSOP to where one half is the original bios.

If you are using that bios at boot, then you are safe on xbox live.

So, according to this pic (from the tutorials on this site), there is another 3.3vcc (top right)

Anyone confirm?  If either is correct, would it matter either way which one is used?

Well, I didn't know that.  I'd use a continutity checker and verify that they are linked together.   I picked my 3.3v from the other pic posted here.  (showing from the bottom)

Anyhow, mine is back together for the most part.  I'm trying to copy the 140mb gamesaves.bin.bz2 file to my hard drive and for the life of me it isn't working! ARG!   If I have a chance to check later I'll let you know.

Thanks alot!
Beautiful Pic and Labels!
I'm glad I waited to do this!
TOP of motherboard it is then! smile.gif

Well, In all honesty the one on the bottom is the easiest to solder to.  It would be the strongest and most secure one to solder to.  The via on the top is small.  It takes good skills to solder to.  The pin 1 on the flash rom is a little risky if you were to damage the flash rom pin that could be a problem.  So it's up to you.  the VIA is HARD, the Pin1 on mask rom is risky,  bottom side traditional spot easiest.

okay I did this Last Night,
I took
4034 + 4034 + X2_4976.02 + X2_4976.02
compiled it and Flashed the TSOP. All of a sudden My Xbox started to give error, Boots a couple of times and then shuts down. So I assumed that it is also looking at the 4034 bios and I knew it was't compatible.
I took the A19 Point and the GND from the bottom side
and the 3.3 v from the Top. Then I connected the A19 to 3.3v and my Xbox booted, so I guess the xbox doesn't look at the first part of the bios. Anyways the Method works perfectly, no Problems there. Now just to make sure that u don't get banned from Live.

I just want to know that is connecting the A19 point to 3.3v safe ?
Thats my only concern.

Thankyou very much to everyone who made this method possible.

I see the 2 diagrams labeled differently , both showing 3.3v from the TOP view.... Which one is right?
Sirwell's where he labeled with RED Circle Marker

or
akula169's pic showing top right first spot labeled 3.3v.

They both are showing TOP of Motherboard ...so which one is actually 3.3v?Thanks

to make sure we are on same page ...
From the TOP of motherboard ...the first and fourth spots on the 2nd row are BOTH 3.3v.... as the pics suggest...
This has been checked with multimeter? or PRO?
