I tried to flash a 1.1 using raincoat but after i connected and gave it the command to flash ./raincoat -p bios.bin
it said ./raincoat: No such file or directory.. So I tried 007evo and it luckily worked. any ideas why i got that error using raincoat?

your doing the command incorrectly is why your getting that error, tell me what you do in order to try to flash the TSOP.

How do you know they're all touching, have you used a multimeter to check for continuity?  If not, then you can't be sure, and they ought to be resoldered.

i just wanna b sure on something huh.gif if i hav the 007savewithraincoat i should d/l the newer raincoat off the xbox-linux site and replace the config file and the raincoat file thats 423kb in the 007savewithraincoat
also is it normal for a xbox v1.1 to look like a v1.2/1.3 (i no its a v1.1 cause of the bios on it and the power cable and the date)

Good tutorial, but in my 1.3 pins and paths to the left of TSOP doesn't match. I found 2 points with solder near C7C4 mark. Is that it? Anyone can share with schematic for 1.3?

Just to unequivocably reconfirm that you do not need the bottom points unless you have messed up the top points.  In fact it is a good idea to check that the top points have soldered properly by doing a continuity test across the bottom points after soldering the top.  That way you know whether it has worked and don't have to do the more tedious bottom soldering (ouch).

Cheers,

JB
