just make sure of this first:
1) it is a whole 1MB image of 4976.02. dual boot bioses have problems after being flashed to the onboard TSOP with other images
2) the image is working. the program could show up with a successful flash message, but if the image is hosed to begin with, well you kno...

I know it works because it is the original 4976.02 file.  It's the same original that I used to make all the colormod variations.

I didn't combine any other bios images with this one.  It's the 256k 4976.02 bios that I converted to 1MB using XBTool.

Now if I can only figure out this whole A19 / VCC / Ground switch thing.

I have 2 SPST switches that I've connected to my Matrix.  I'd like to take the Matrix out and use those existing switches to control the TSOP.  I heard that you can combine the 4976.02 bios file with the original bios if you use 512k images.  The only thing I don't understand is what connections I need to make to the switches.  blink.gif

If anyone can expand on it, that'd be great.  Of course, I would first flash with the 1MB 4976.02 bios file.  The switches thing would come later.

The TSOP flash with a switched bios is easy. I'd recommend a SPDT switch instead of two SPST switch because with two switches you could provide VCC and Ground to A19 simultaniously (very bad).

Heres what worked for me.  A19 to ground and VCC through SPDT switch.  Ground A19 before you flash and flash with a 512K image. Do not use any special raincaot commands: just - p and your bios name for the 512k image.

After that you will boot to the original bios in one position and the alternative bios in the other.

If for some reason you pork the flash you may still be able to save the day by booting the original bios.

In the cenrter position (A19 open) it frags so you probably dont want to flash with a full 1024k bios that doesn't have all four quadrants mirrored.
