1.1, Tsop Flashed, X24976.02 Questions
« on: April 30, 2003, 03:59:00 AM »

ok, just got my x2pro removed and TSOP flashed.

installed 2 SPST switches correctly.

[after mod]flashed the entire TSOP 1mb with both switches off using slayers 2.1 disc/flash option with the x2 4976.02 multiver 256k bios [this apparently flashed all 4 banks with same bios making it 1MB, which i suppose makes sense.  all 4 switch positions do the same thing]

i then used xbtool to edit the same bios - x2 4976.02 multiver 256k - 3 times= each bios file pointing to different drive [C, E, & F] i will need to obtain the original xbox bios, making 4 bios files equalling 1MB.

what i want to do is have the different bioses boot up different dashes, 'c' bios booting evox from c drive, 'e' bios booting avalaunch from e drive, and 'f' bios booting [who knows] nexgen or something from f drive.  the original bios will be for playing 'live'

to reiterate: both switches up= evox, first switch up= avalaunch, second switch up= nexgen or something, both switches down= original ms xbox bios/dash

does anyone see any issues with this or anything?  do i need any tools to combine the bioses or do i just use command prompt[xp]?  any questions other than 'y am i doing this' are welcome, i am doing this cuz this is what i want.  can anyone help me out?

EDIT:  nevermind.   i didnt delete the post just in case someone might know how to do this correctly or can confirm that its not possible.  after my impatience got to me i did this myself, everything worked the way it should hav but in the end it didnt do what i wanted it to.  then i fixed it the same way i broke it, sounds crazy but i dont want to explain it.  i now hav my custom 'c' bios x4 [making 1MB] flashed to the entire Tsop.  sorry about the [near]waste of a thread.
