hi guys...i've done this 007 tsop about a hundred of times with v1.0 and v1.1, but i just recently came across a v1.2...i went to the tutorials and it showed 2 points on top and 2 points on the bottom..i also check at diffrent web-sites and they all tell me to solder those 2 same points on the bottom...the 2 on the top are identical to the other versions, but the bottom is different...first i tried to put a little solder on one of the points but it wouldnt stick...cuz i noticed there was a little film on it, so i tried to scrape it off (the film)..it came off and the solder stuck afterwards..then i went to the normal routine (telnetting to it and stuff) and i changed that 1 meg file to a 256k file (the bios for v1.2 are 256k)...

now when i go to backup my original bios it wouldn't let me...then i try to flash it and that didnt work also..are these 2 points on the bottom valid..? i de-solder and re-solder..check my points and everything looks good...has anyone tsop there v1.2 out there..? just wanna know are these 2 points making the chip write enabled..? thanks

i assume you're using the 007savewithraincoat? i'm pretty sure that the version of raincoat that is included in that package doesn't have support for the tsop chips included on 1.2 boards. just replace the raincoat binary and raincoat.conf file with the binary and config file from the latest version on whatever media you're using to transfer the savegame onto the xbox.

it should work.
