The new evox will flash the onboard bios with anything, it will copy the BIOS 4 times if it is a 256k file. with Multi-BIOS, u need to solder some switches on the MB ( there should be a tut for this) and then make the BIOS that u want, either 2 x 512 or 4 x 256 or 1 x 1024. there are a few ways you can do this, and again there should be a tut for this in the section on this site. However, it really is just overkill to do a multi-bios on your onboard, no need at all, i have flashed my onboard many times, but i never had the need for 2 or 4 bios's in the same day!

The point of having the two BIOSs is so that I can go back to the factory BIOS if and when I want. And the tutorials on multiple BIOSs are pretty confusing. I repeat:

I have a 256 k BIOS, is the MS BIOS small enough for a multi-BIOS setup?

If so, what's the simplest way of doing a multiple BIOS setup?

"ยค"!"#"!#&

no the 256kb bios is not big enough..
you can copy 4 bios's togheter tho.
again from the tut..
-------------------------------------------------------------------

4/ The last step is to make the bios Image:

First we need 4 different (or same) bios images for this purpose we will use this example:

EVOX 2.5 + x2 4973 + x2 4972+ ORIGINAL 4034

To make this a 1 meg file with this setup we go to command prompt (DOS) and type:

copy /b EVOX 2.5.bin+x2 4973.bin+x2 4972.bin+Original 4034.binMulti Bios.bin

After doing this we got our multi bios!! Next boot up EVOX, ftp the Multi Bios, turn all switches OFF, and flash!!

From my point of view,
there is no need to flash your onboard tsop,
cause you may render your xbox useless,
from a wrong flash.

For this perpose you can add a Bios replacement kit,
that is well know as a modchip...

Nowdays they are extra cheap,
and thanks to Plug&Hack installation,
you always have the chance to remove the modchip
and have your console back to the original point!

I have been flashing onboard tsops for more than 2 months,
and now many people are having problem.

Also do not forget that M$ can find your hacked console,
and this has been confirmed in the Xbox Live.
So, you never know if there is going to be a game in the near future,
with mod detection ability that as soon as it will detect your hacked bios,
will cause problems in your console...

So, flashing your onboard tsop is only recomended from our team,
to reflash it with the original bios,
if somebody has upgraded in the past,
and always check that your console is really include a modchip,
when you send it to technicians to mod it for you...

I'm pretty sure the ms bios is 512k. Also I believe the tsop is 1 meg. This means that if you want the original bios on your tsop as well you will have to make your evox bios 512. Then you make both bioses into 1 big file like that tut shows. So it will be evox (512k) + MS BIOS (512k) = 1024k (aka 1 meg) Then you flash that 1 meg bios to your tsop. Then you solder your switches. Depending on which bios appears first on the tsop, your switches will boot the different ones.
