Xenium Gold Led Goes Red>green> Off, On Boot Up
« on: June 18, 2007, 12:27:00 PM »

i am pretty sure the LED is off when you are in the OS. you could have accidently set it to be off when the X2 is booted.

try clearing the cache within the XeniumOS to see if your games will work. what are you using to rip your games?

that was way to long to read. i just got up and im still not awake.

agian, the LED is off when in the OS. i checked last night.

clear cache, turn off TSR in evox settings. try re-ripping the games and make sure all goes well in dvd2xbox. make sure you are in normal mode when ripping and that it processes the ACL. also make sure all files copy and no failed ones.

how did you format the HDD? the XeniumOS? the HDD upgrade wizard has bugs, i would recommend XboxHDM. its in my sig.

EDIT: just checked my Seagate 250Gb HDD formatted with XboxHDM. i only have a F drive and all my games play fine.

sometimes dvd2xbox will not copy backups correctly...try using the originals to copy...its much easier and less frustrating.and ocasionally ive had a game or 2 that i hadto rip in iso mode ...so try that as well biggrin.gif

if you have a 320GB use both F and G. anything over 250GB use F and G.

use dvd2xbox to rip games. its the easiest way. it copies then directly to your xbox without the need of a PC.

a xboxhdm guide is in my sig.

AFAIK auto installers do a good job with formatting.

use AID or Slayers. those seem to be the most popular.

at the bottom of my posts where i have my s/n. it says |IceGuide|/~\|SpiceGuide|/~\|Xbins|/~\XboxHDM|/~\Error Codes|/~\|Error Lights|. click the xboxhdm one.

and dont worry about locking the HDD with xboxhdm. lock it with the XOS after you back up the EEPROM within the XOS. but i will recommend for you to leave it unlocked incase something goes wrong.

have just read thru the great tutorial, love it.... also love the pics of the PC to Xbox setup.

Am I correct with the connections:

1) Original Xbox HD as primary master.

2) Optical drive as primary slave.

2) Hard drive to be processed/ upgraded as secondary master.    smile.gif

i havent used XboxHDM since i modded my xbox which as a long time ago. right around when the golds first came out. i really dont remember. print out the tutorial so you have it handy. you will not be able to access it while running xboxHDM.

dont forget you need your EEPROM.bin file.

with the not playing games, i have a friend with a chipped box that has the same problem, only he uses the retail HDD... well...i take that back, we fixed it, but not sure how.... i think we jus formatted X, Y and Z and cleared the cache and re-backed-up the game...   thought it might help, but it's already been said...so....yeh.... =/

EDIT: spelling fixes

yeah that should be the first thing you should try. but he has already tried that. try deleting the game save of dvd2xbox in the MSdash and then clear the cache. delete the game and re-rip.

have cleared the cache in the M$ dash. makes no difference. Have yet to re-format /X/, /Y/ and /Z/ but will do that next

one of these games will play if you log in as a new player every time you re-start the game after exiting, saving and then re-booting the console.

If you log in as a previous player it will offer to load your profile and then the loading screen just freezes. All these games will play the intro-movie.... All very strange.

I think it is the way they have been backed up. I am in the process of modding a v1.6, so when I get it up and running I will try these games in it.
