the harness is unneeded for a 1.6. all you need is the SP adaptor (white curved piece) and your good to go.

the wire just sticks in the hole. no need to solder unless you are afraid of it coming loose. i have a completely solderless setup and mine as never came loose. i take it with me alot to my friends house or wherever and i carry it in a duffle bag with all the accessories. neve came loose for me.

the d0 wire comes out of the adaptor into the d0 connection hole. there is no soldering to the LPC with a d0 connection.

As you suggest go back and check the lpc rebuild and all connections. 99% of all frags are usually down to a bad install and very rarely are the actual chips bad.

grrr, this is nerve racking, anything can be wrong, thanks, well at least my xbox still boots up, with all the connections, but do you solder the top d0 wire to the lpc?

the SP adaptor sits on top of the black base so they work together.

the spice guide in my sig explains it all. blue is the d0 and black is ground on the LFRAME wire harness. and it plug into the chip.

and stick with one topic with all these. they are all related no need to make a million topics.

no, the black base should have came with the chip IF he got the solderless solution and even that should have came with both. if he didnt then the only thing he would have got is the pin header.

mine came with all 3. (universal adaptor(black base), SP adaptor, and pin header)

yea mine came with all three too but hes done the rebuild so im presuming he didnt buy the solderless one so surely he will need the balck base bit too?
