i am pretty sure they make pen like products that have conductive material in them to repair traces.

It's used for repairing rear windshield heaters (for some damn reason I can't remember the name of what i'm talking about), you know the little lines that run across the glass that melt snow/ice.  It is about 10-15 dollars at most hardware stores in the automotive section.  It works like magic, i have used it to repair a number of xboxen in the past.  Just tape off the area you are repairing so only the lifted trace/pad is visible.  Apply it liberally, and make sure it doesn't touch any other traces.  It can be cleaned up with rubbing alcohol or nail polish/acetone.  Pictures would help give you more exact advice, but hopefully this will do.  Keep us updated on your progress.  People seem to never report their success, i think there would be alot less repeated questions if people reports when solutions worked for them.

rear defrost?

agreed on the success stories!!! smile.gif

It has nothing to do with the 1.5. Blue is the removable d0 for 1.0-1.4 and Lframe for the 1.6, for soldered installs, or you can use it to replace a broken hook on a solderless adaper on 1.0 to 1.4. On the Xenium Gold it is the only way to connect d0/Lframe on a soldered install. The black wire is a ground wire that is not needed, it can be clipped or taped off. If your install is solderless you do not need the loom at all at all.

1.5 and 1.7 don't exist. There is no alternate power needed for any Xenium chip. If you were to hook that to power you would in all likelyhood fry your chip.

They didn't, the naming convention is ours, the mod scenes, not theirs. It's used to track changes in the hardware. There is no difference between a 1.4 and a 1.5 other than 2 traces on being different, as far as modchips are concerned. Look at pictures, they are identical. The 1.5 was either a faulty batch of 1.4 or possibly some type of refurb of returned 1.4.  Enough people jumped on the bandwagon though and the number stuck, when really it shouldn't have. Just like the BS with the 1.7(1.6 with too much solder mask) but fortunately enough people had been through it before and the number didn't stick, although people still post that they have them. I have received tons of "1.5s" because people were just too lazy to do their install right so they just fell back on "I have a 1.5" instead of fixing it. I have fake soldered the 2 wires because people insisted the install would fail and ruin the Xbox if it wasn't done.
