what do i have to do to play games do i have to flash a bios to it ?

before you do anything backup EEPROM to chip and stock HDD to PC through FTP.

then flash with X2 5035 bios to play backup games, games from HDD, and homebrew apps and software. make sure you use the one appropiate for your xbox version. obtain from usual places.

follow the guide.

the USB can only be used in the XOS. and it is for only flashing the chip via a jump drive. if you plug it in the XOS sees it has drive H.

use that guide i posted earlier to setup FTP.

x2_5035_vOLD_512k.bin - older xbox versions v1.0 - v1.5 ONLY
x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin - xbox versions v1.6 and v1.6b ONLY

both of these are included in the download. set bios config file to boot to dash.

1.) FTP over bios and config file after it is to your liking. config goes on the root of E and bios can go anywhere (just remember where)
2.) Flash bios through XOS
3.) FTP over evox and .ini file. both go on root of C

everything you need is from the "usual places"

use this GUIDE if you have any trouble flashing.

FYI, u will have to flash bios with LBA48 option in x2config maker if you want a HDD bigger than 137GB.

i have looked all through the xbin ftp bios and dont see a

x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin

can someone tell me what this bios file is? like the bios folder has loads of names like evolution x xecuter xenium etc etc

i cant figure out what i have to do if ihave to use the x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin bios cos i cant find it

please help

found some help and got it flashed to 5035

nows all is left to do is the dashboard

good to hear. hey sorry i forgot to tell what the actual folder name was called in xbins that includes the X2 bios'. but you got it working and its all that counts. peace

the usb adapter is not just for the xenium os.u plug it in any controller port and u can hook usb devices such as a keyboard and mouse to it.i use port 4 so its out of the way.

that to. but he was wanting to flash a bios and the only software that will allow you to flash a bios through jump drive is XOS. anyway that is good info.
