Check the switch on the chip and make sure it is covering the little black mark.

does anyone know why i can't get my modchip to flash green?!!! i've checked the D0 point for many times already, and it seems perfect. but for some god damn reason, it flashes red when i turn the xbox on. i've even tried soldering the blue wire to the D0 point on the front, but no luck at all. does the xbox "flashing orange and green" (not FRAG) have anything to do with this problem? please help someone. btw, this is one awesome forum. glad to be here.  biggrin.gif

the orange and green flahing light comes up when your a/v cord is unplugged from the back. but it might help to plug it in. also do what Rabid suggestion.

i think i got that. all that was required is to slide the switch to the right to enable the flash mode, right? or am i missing something else?

no that switch is to enable recovery mode. which recovers the XOS if something in XOS goes wrong. you have to have the OS file on the root of E drive to recover.

what is on the TV when you boot up?

that would be the recovery switch. it recovers the OS if it becomes corrupt or something like that only if you have the OS file present when activated.

the black mark is under the switch. if you cant see it you are in normal operation mode. if you can see it you are in recovery mode. make sure the switch is covering the mark for normal operation.

take the chip out and see if the xbox boots normal. if it does, re-install the chip and check the LPC connection as well as the d0 connection.
