A friend of mine asked me to install a Xenium for him, I guess he bought the chip, but was too chicken to solder it himself. So he softmodded his xbox instead and the chip has been gathering dust. I have installed a few Xecuter 3's, and this Xenium (Ice I think, it's white) was quite easy to install. The problem is that I can't get back to his dash (he has evox installed). When I try to add a new launch menu item, I get the error:
This feature is currently disabled while more testing is done.
So I downloaded and flashed Xenium OS v2.3.1, but no dice, I get the same error. Am I doing something wrong? how are you supposed to launch a dash?
Oh, and one other question. His chip has some extra parts that were not in the install .pdf. basically a cable with like a dozen wires and some board it plugs into with just 2 connectors and switch on it. What is this thing? I assume it is a switch to turn on/off the chip, but honestly I have no idea.
