So I purchased a Gold chip to fix my old hdd and put in an upgrade. I got the chip to work fine, no problems at all! Now Im trying to use my upgrade drive (cuz my old one is flubbed! I get an error 7 with it). I load up TSOP, and get the same damn thing! Whats wrong? Oh, and I dont have my old eeprom.bin on my computer or my xboxhdm disc...

HDD- Maxtor 160 Gig PATA 6Y160P0042811
XBOX- v1.0

Oh, I dont care about XBL.. can I just bypass going into TSOP and setting the time... can I just somehow load straight from the disc (I got Slayers) and start installing new stuff?

If you didn't use an autoinstaller or the drive wizard in the OS to setup the new drive, then you need to flash a bios, burn a Slayers or Auto Installer Deluxe disc, then boot the disc and setup the drive.

I tried to use the new hdd wizard, but since my old drive is fragged.. i cant do it. I do have slayers.. it wont load. And, I loaded the TSOP to my Xenium and load that up, it has the green 'X' and then it Error 7's on me! =/

Do I need to get a bios to run with my Xenium to bypass the retail TSOP?

Your only real help will be the auto installer disk, unless you can find another unlocked Xbox hard drive. if you e-mail me you address. You may be burning the autoinstaller disk incorrectly, if you e-mail me with you address, Ill send you an auto installer disk I burned. [email protected]
