Xenium Gold Install Problem
« on: September 27, 2006, 02:51:00 PM »

I just installed the xenium gold solderless on my xbox.  I got the OS screen for xenium to load, but I needed to switch the dvd-rom with my new hard drive to use.  I shut off my xbox, switched out the dvd-rom drive for the hard drive, but When i rebooted my xbox reboots twice and then it flashes red and green.  The led for the xenium comes on red, but I get no OS come up on my tv.  d0 is in place, any idea what the problem may be?

Does switching the The hard drive and DVD drive again fix the problem? IF it does you may have a bad IDE cable. IF it dose not fix it, you may have dislodged the chip somehow, try and reseat it.

I am using a solderless adapter.  Thats the only thing I could think of that may be giving me trouble.  When I hook everything back up to normal it still gives me the flashing red and green.

that has nothing to do with your drives. take everything off and reinstall it. check that everything is connected good.

I disconnected everything and checked it all to make sure it is connected tight, which it is.  But I still get the error.  Reboots twice, then flashes green and red.

i would say take the chip completely. and boot xbox without it. and post back with the results. any error codes/screens, what happens on the P/E LED etc. etc.

Ok I fixed it.  It turns out I had the ribbons reversed.  I have my chip installed now with everything functionable, I have my ftp working but now when I go to drag and drop files onto my xbox, nothing shows up. It says it transfered the files but I dont see them. I am using flashFXP.

Ok I am able to see the stuff that I add when I am in the bios Xenium menu under lanch menu, then add new item then flash and choose a drive.  How I am able to see this stuff under the flashFXP program?

turn off "use passive mode" in FlashFXP settings.
