Sp. Adaptor On 1.0

My friend is buying the xenium gold chip and it comes with the SP solderless adaptor.  The black piece that fits onto the adaptor (shown in pictures) is the same as the old school v1.0-1.5 solder less adaptor right?  So he'll just have that extra piece when he's done right?

That's right.  The black peice is the solderless adapter for all versions.  The white PCB (pictured below) is for 1.6/1.6b boxes.
