Not really. The only diff is that the gold is gold plated. AFIAK, there's no technical difference.

there isn't a difference, but if you're getting the spice from a reseller, you should double check that they actually have them in stock. I've seen a lot of resellers that have it posted on their website that they have them in stock, but when I emailed them about the availability EVERY reseller admitted that they had none on hand. And if they do have some, If you wouldn't mind sharing who it is, I would love to know.

I ordered the Xenium Gold SP from OTB, on like saturday. I emailed them and I haven't got a response back yet. The thing is I know I ordered it from them, but now neither the Xenium Gold or the ICE are showing up on their site. I don't know if they took it off because they are out, or what. But I will post whenever they email me back. Ohh and the only diff I see between the Ice and Gold is size, color, and the Gold comes preloaded with a "special" skin for the os.

well, yes. the difference is size, color, the gold has no quick solder method of installation, and it comes with the latest xenium os pre-loaded with a limited edition gold skin.

i'd like to know who has xeniums in stock. gold or not. i havent seen any of the reputable dealers with them in. or at least know when to expect the golds, i'm going to need 2 or 3 chips here soon.

I don't know of any reseller who has a xenium right now. For the moment, everyone is still waiting for them. Last word I've heard was from mod-chip.com who said that the chips were delayed until next week (I got an email from them today). But nobody really knows for sure when they'll be in. hopefully soon, cause I really need one!

As of right now Divineo has a few Xenium SPIce for sell. They also state that the Gold will be another 2.5 weeks!

OTB-mods emailed me back and said my Gold was in the mail. I'll let everyone know how pimp it is so you can dream about it while you wait for a few more weeks. LOL. Waiting sucks. But there isn't really gonna be a big change from the Ice, you can make a Ice a Gold on software, so yeah. Also word is if you pre-ordered a Ice they'll send you a Gold b/c the Ice isn't being made any more. That's just what I heard.

Yeah I talked to otbmods.com and he said that my Xenium Gold was in the mail, so I think it should be in tommorw, hope you got it from the same place. I was searching for like 2 days and no one had it in stock and then Saturday night I was looking and found it on Otbmods.com and it was in stock, I ordered it with the quickness. It was only on there site for like an hour and a half before they took it off.LOL

No i got it from consolesource.com and those bastards keep on changing the ETA for the gold, and they dont reply to any emails

well the gold is on pre-realse

as in it has been sent to certaint people

so you can buy a new one unless some store got 2-3 chips
and then they would get sold out

You should double check with you seller. I have been contacting many resellers who are expecting the chips and nobody has any idea when they'll be available. And to my knowledge otbmods.com is not an official xenium reseller. I find it hard to believe that otbmods would get some chips in before any of the official resellers. I also think that there may be a reason that the Gold was taken off the site so quickly...

I am skeptical, but I hope you get your chip.

i dont know why u guys want the gold so bad, it not a new chip, just new shap and color
and btw, yo u are going to have a dvd drive and a hd on top of it and then a case will be bulited on the top

so who is going to see it??
