quicksolder was a bitch to uninstall and wasn't compatible on all versions, not to mention if something went wrong when soldering it, it could fuck up your entire box.
also it took a lot of room, while now the chip can be made damn small.

Uhh, No it's not  It's gold electroplate.

Kolobati, you really should open your own thread, but all you need is the SPIceguide from my sig. The Ice and 24k installations are identical and soldered install is covered in the guide.
