Xenium Gold 24K Samples Pictures-- Posted by XanTium on January 26 19:12 EST
We received pre-production samples of the new Xenium(info) Gold 24K modchip from Team Xodus. Here are some quality and detailed pictures as you are used to see from us. Click the pictures for a high-resolution version.
This new version of the Xenium is now 24K-gold plated on both top and bottom of the PCB. You'll also notice the modchip is much smaller then the Xenium Blue/ICE (see size compared to the headerpin on the 3rd picture below for example).
The package we got came with an USB adapter, pinheader and cable with plug for D0/LFRAME but that might change for the retail version. The chip is expected to hit retail stores soon.

Bling Bling? I think its pretty lame but thats Xenium for you. No advancements in OS like loading XBEs just more nonsense. I hope they do something for the 360 scene.

There's nothing lame about it! The chip looks really nice and it's also nice to see Xenium still working the scene.

Wow its great to see this team still working on the orignal xbox scene, and not forgetting about stuff they started a year + ago like skryer. But i guess rereleasing a modchip, making it small and gold is jsut as good.

Agreed, when most of the teams/groups/possies/crewz etc wound down to begin working on the x360 TeamXodus have done their part to ensure the scene hasnt died.

Exactly. A commemerative farwell to helping establish what is the scene. Plus, it will give me something to do while waiting on my X3IR

meh, xenium hasnt really done much to improve their product
the hardware was nice, but the software on it sucks, at least compared to x3

ah well, at least theyre doing something
