My Box Turns On And Off.

We need some more info.  Does it work with the chip off?  Do you get error codes?  What are they? What colors are displayed on the front LED?  What color is the chip LED?

if i take the chip off it boots and gives me error 16.  As soon as i put the chip back on it starts up and shuts down.  I have tried the chip in my other xbox and the chip works fine.  i believe the adapter might be bad.  The chip led is red.
