Spice Doesn't Work On 1.0

Okay so here is the story, I have a 1.0 xbox, and I bought the xenium SPICE online, it arived about three months later (rawwr) and then I installed the solderless adaptor, and spent an hour aligning it, I got it to work ONCE, and since then it never worked again, it either frags my box, or just has a red light and the xbox boots normally (softmodded) and its really irritating, so I took it to a local installer, he soldered the d0, and pinheader and we dropped the chip on, and it frags, he replaces it with a bunch of his chips, and they all work, and this one doesn't, but I KNOW it worked once, I saw the OS, what am I doing wrong?

I know teh D0 is good because when its not connected the system boots, when I plug it in the system frags, and I know the pinheader works because another chip dropped in it boots fine, Do I have a bad SPICE? I have been reading a LOT of problems with this chip and 1.0 xbox's.

Reflash the OS with 2.3.0.  I had a similar problem once and this fixed it.

How do I flash the OS when I can't start the xbox?

He has TONS of xbox's he is an installer, but he is an hour away and was really rude, I am not driving out there to go through that again.

He talked to me like I didn't know anything and when I handed him the chip he said "I am just going to take this and give you a better one" and tried installing some doux2 chip, then when I refused he laughed and tried to explain how long he had been doing this and told me to shut up and trust him, I refused again and reached over to get my xbox back and he said "okay okay whatever you're the one who has to live with a "gay" chip, do you want me to spraypaint "gaybox" on this thign for you too?"


So yes, he is a dick and anything I do, has to be done from here, this is a copy and paste that I made one the official xenium forums when I noticed that there are 100's of people with my exact problem and they are getting the same bullshit run around answers.

They should, EVERYONE has that problem, The other thing everyone is being told is to try recovery mode, that as well doesn't work because there is no recovery mode, it still frags, there is NOTHING wrong with the connections because, another chip dropped on that pinheader works perfectly, so don't give me that run around either, we've heard it all.

Okay now that I am done fuming, I must apologize, I KNOW you guys are here to help, and I know that what I just said was rude, it was out of anger, Let me say it in a nice way:

These chips have a problem, a major one, this is the second one I have recieved with the same problem, here is what I can say about my specific problem:

1. Pinheader and d0 solder are perfect, other chips work fine.
2. With xenium installed, light on chip turns red and system reboots twice then frags
3. recovery mode does nothing, exact same symptoms
4. with the d0 disconected, system boots to ms dash (with my softmods, but thats irrelivant)
5. I burned a recovery DVD-R with the tutorial on here, it works because the files can be read from softmod, but it helps me in no way because the system frags, the chip works because it works in a 1.6 and worked ONCE on this one for two seconds before the pinheader.



So whats my next step to fix this problem with the 1.0 and a xenium SPICE

Please don't say any of these:
1. realign it
2. check connections
3. clean connections
4. try recovery mode
5. burn a recovery disc

NONE OF THOSE APPLY TO ME thank youuuuuuu
