nice suggestion goodwad.
Use the newest X2 bios and the evolution X dashboard both are the easiest for noobs - I still use them as I see no reason to change as that combo has proven extremely stable. Use the tutorials off of this site and TeamXodus's site to install bios and change your settings in the Xenium OS.
Update your Xenium OS. Extremely important. Get from teamxodus.com
Make IGR is turned off in the bios and in the dashboard. You can turn it off in your bios by copying the evox.ini file to your pc via network or ftp and editting with notepad or wordpad. Then just copy it back over the top of the old file on your xbox.
Also you can tell the Xenium Os (at least you can in 2.3.0) to clear cache files. That helps sometimes. If you have dvd2xbox installed on your hard drive you can use the file manager in it to erase all items in your e:cache, x:, y:, and z: drives. You can also accomplish this via network or a ftp program of your choice. I use smartftp
Hope this helps
