ok, hi... i have dug myself into a hole... i tryed to softmod my xbox, and pulled the quite noobish stunt of formating my xbox harddrive. i have order an xenium ice chip and it should be here in a couple days bc i hope it might help... at this moment though. my xbox harddrive is unlocked and completely blank thanks to xboxhdm, i don't have a backup of my hardrive nor my eeprom... at least i dont think so... i have the slayers 2.6 disk with what i hope is everything i need to restore my harddrive... i dont have an eeprom.bin file, but i did write down the hd key and password before it was formatted...  now then, i have my xbox harddrive connected on my computer on ide (my o.s. is on a sata raid array) is there any way to fix my hardrive without the xenium chip? i was just reading a tut about "xboxhdm for dummies" and im wondering what to do now.... should i burn a dvd-r with xboxhdm and put the contents of the c: folder from the slayers disk? but what can i do about the eeprom? do i need to do something else about the eeprom? ( i apologize in advance if i've asked a retarded question) i don't have any backups aside from writing down the xbox hd key and password... will it work if i use xboxhdm with the contents of slayers c: folder and then just relock the harddrive using hdlock.exe ? please help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

I have never used the slayers' installers but from what I hear they have the contents of an xbox C partition on them.  IF this is the case you could "hotswap" your way into the drive and copy the contents from the cd then lock it using xboxhdm using the Key that you wrote down.  Again I have never needed to use the slayers autoinstaller so Im not really sure as to what they have on them (downloading one now to take a look).  

Either way you are not hurting anything b/c 1.) you formated the HD!! 2.) you have an xenium (the best chip) on the way you can get your eprom from the xbox using the chip.  So try a hotswap and if you just cant get it to work wait on the xenium, install it, then do a emprom backup 1st!! then restore your xbox HD. OH and a word to the wise dont use the format feature on xenium os as of version 2.0.1 its a little buggy i think.  I have a tutorial on this site and mine showing the installation of an xenium (in my sig) good luck

You can infact rebuild your retail HD with Slayers 2.6, of course you are going to need a mod chip in order to boot off the Slayers disk, but once you get that installed you should be in business.  Good luck mate.
