In Depth Noobie Question

Not real clear on your problem but I will give it a shot.

If you are using a solderless adapter than there is really only one way for it to connect to the lpc port. The screw in the mother board that as to be removed so the solderless adapter can be connected only allows the adapter to fit over the proper holes.

Refer to page 8 and notice that only the bottom set of six "hole" are utilized here as seen by the highlighted box.  http://www.teamxodus.....ll Manual.pdf

You may also want to double check the chip fitment to the adapter and also the D0 connection (although I think you said you were sure it was good).

The adapter sits on the LPC toward the front of the Xbox.  This is the only way it will sit on the LPC if you use the screw to align the adapter.

The 3X FRAG then flashing RED, the way you have described, means that the solderless adapter is not aligned correctly on the LPC.  Since it boots fine without the d0, and FRAGs with the d0 connected means that the LPC is not communicating properly.  This is all too common with solderless adapters.  A soldered pinheader will solve your problems.

Also, make sure the chip is installed on the right pins and in the right direction with the "X" in Xenium toward the back of the box.

Alrite I then decided Id do the pin solder install. After soldering the pins in I hooked the chip on just to find it triple frag again and the xenium light not even come on. Me thinking ahhh shit right about now. Ripped the chip off and pulled the pins out. still have some solder on the back and one pin stuck in there. Hopeing to god if I clean it up itll work again and just load ms. Don't even care about modding anymore. Just want to get the box back up and running. Anything to say to help me out?
